Miriam Moreno Serpa (b.Peru) Photographer. Miriam studied Business Administration at the University San Ignacio de Loyola. Following an extensive tour of The Americas, She found her passion for photography in New York. This led her to The International Center of Photography in New York where she continued her professional development as a photographer, taking classes and working as a Teaching Assistant.

Her first major work in Visual Arts included designing the new image at Florerias Land Flowers Company, doing the Color Photography in Peru and New York. With That, She creates as well her firts Social short documental film Residuos de Vida, about the people that recycles garbage in Lima Peru. Her second photography project involved documenting the lives of the various ethnic communities in the jungles of Peru with Black and White Photography, researching at Universidad Catolica del Peru and Instituto de Investigación Amazónica in Iquitos.

Miriam Has been invited to exhibit for local and internationals festivals as a versatil Visual Artist has been take part for the 15e Festivalissimo of Ibero Latino-Americains Artist in Montreal Canada for her direction of a Photo Film with Black and White photography “Jose Maria”. The history is about children, showing us the wise way of living in the jungle.

She has been published her work as a Photojournalist and Documentalist in El Comercio Journal, The City University of New York, Magazine Ojos Propios. Currently she works as a freelance photographer, collaborating with the Agency Demotix of England and with El Comercio in Peru.
